Geared scroll chucks

for variable manufacturing with a large jaw adjustment range

The RÖHM geared scroll chucks have proven themselves a thousand times over and have already been in use successfully for decades on turning machines, rotary tables and dividing attachments. The jaws can be adjusted over the entire clamping range to be able to very quickly clamp workpieces with a wide clamping diameter range without offsetting the jaws.

Using the radially arranged drive, the force is transferred to the (hardened) spiral ring via bevel gearing and further conducted to the clamping jaws via the spiral.

1: Radially placed drive for defined torque introduction by means of torque wrench

2: Spiral ring for precision force transmission and fast jaw adjustment over the entire clamping range

3: Protection of the machine spindle against cooling lubricant by a water spray edge

4: Control edge for quick and easy adjustment on the machine
