The Jimtof trade fair in Tokyo just came to an end. On this occasion the Röhm company presented the entire range of its clamping technology solutions. This is the biggest exhibition for metal processing in Japan, and it brought the company numerous new customer contacts in the Far East.
The Röhm corporate group has been relying for decades on its sales partner Takeda – the Takeda Trade Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo. This year Röhm was represented at the Jimtof trade fair with a stand of its own for the first time, measuring some 40 square metres. The main focus of the display was on electrical clamping systems, tool clamping systems and mandrels. Röhm’s e-Quipment range, which uses electrical clamping and so dispenses with hydraulics, also met with particularly lively interest. Röhm presented itself in this area as a system supplier.
Röhm’s Managing Director Michael Fried D. Eng. commented: ‘The Asian countries are becoming more important all the time for the machine tool industry. This is a cause of satisfaction to us, as our versatile solutions are receiving tremendous feedback from the trade public.’
With more than 120,000 visitors, the Jimtof trade show was able to reassert its pre-eminence as the most significant mechanical engineering exhibition in Asia and an important platform for the introduction of modern machine tools. A large public attended the event, for an intensive exchange of technical information and with a view to getting the latest news about market developments and recent innovations. The exhibition also gave manufacturers the opportunity of informing themselves about customer requirements, as an incentive to future product development.
